Gulf Place announces 2016 Summer Camps

Santa Rosa Beach, Fla. (June 7, 2016) - Gulf Place on 30A announces the schedule for their 2016 summer camps and workshops. Beginning June 1, 2016, through August 8, 2016, The Artists at Gulf Place and 30A Learning Academy will host interactive workshops and adventure camps that will keep kids engaged and active.

 

The Artists at Gulf Place will host an array of art workshops Monday through Friday in the Artist Colony beginning immediately. Workshops include Paint and Press T-Shirts with Jeffre Behm, Footprints in the Sand with Amanda Fagan, Starfish Family book signing and character workshop with John Hollan, Jewelry Making with Diane Taliaferro, Tie Dye and “Painting Pals”, an acrylic painting class on wood cutouts with David Hansel. Pre-registration is not required for the Artists at Gulf Place Workshops. Prices may vary. Additional classes will be going on throughout the week. Kids wishing to hit the surf can enjoy the 30A Surf and SUP Kids Camp. The three-hour surf camp will teach children the basics of surfing and will have them shredding the waves in no time while the paddleboard camp will teach your child the basics of stand up paddle boarding. Camps are offered Memorial Day through August. It is best to book at least one week in advance due to limited supply. Locations including Gulf Place, Seagrove, Eastern Lake and Lake Powell. 30A Learning Academy invites children ages 5-12 to get involved with their summer camps. Beginning June 21, 2016, 30A Learning Academy will host four weeks of Tuesday and Thursday Summer Camps. The Summer Camps were designed for children to participate in hands-on and out and about field experiences to learn about Northwest Florida's diverse ecosystems and explore the unique environmental wonders of 30A and the Emerald Coast area. Students will travel to a new off campus field experience every day. The themes may stay the same, but the field trips and experiences will change.
