Gulf Place Proudly Welcomes Messina’s Restaurant
Messina’s, a Creole and Italian inspired restaurant, joins the Gulf Place Community
Santa Rosa Beach, Fla. (January 21, 2014) - Gulf Place on 30A announces a new restaurant has recently opened in their town center. The Gulf Place community is pleased to have Messina’s restaurant, a New Orleans family tradition, join their thriving marketplace.
The Messina name was first introduced to the food industry in June of 1961, when Andy Messina fulfilled his lifelong dream of opening and owning a restaurant with his father. Andy Messina’s Restaurant and Catering Company, located in Kenner, Louisiana, was only the beginning for the Messina family. For over 40 years now, the Messina’s have been proudly serving their classic New Orleans seafood dishes and famous Italian family recipes. Drew Messina, one of Andy and Isabelle’s four children, recently took on Messina’s newest culinary project, opening Messina’s restaurant at Gulf Place on 30A.
Drew Messina is excited for guests of Messina’s at Gulf Place to experience the fine service and cuisine that has made Messina’s such a successful dining tradition. The menu selection at Messina’s will feature a blend of South Louisiana Style Creole cooking, Italian inspired dishes and Florida’s finest seafood. Whether guests are in the mood for an Italian sampler including Italian sausage, eggplant, veal, parmesans & meatballs, or a Creole dish such as redfish Rockefeller which consists of redfish over a grit cake with fried oysters, zucchini and squash, Messina’s has impeccable cuisine and a menu unlike any other on 30A.
The restaurant will present a casual atmosphere while providing guests with a ”Five Star Flair.” Families on vacation and loyal local patrons alike will be comfortable in Messina’s spacious bar and dining room, whether they are looking for a special dining experience or a quick bite after a long day at the beach. Along with being open seven nights a week from 5pm-9pm for dinner, Messina’s will also be offering a Saturday and Sunday jazz brunch from 11am-2pm. While enjoying the live music during the weekend brunch guests will also be offered a “build your own” bloody mary bar and bottomless mimosas to compliment their meals.
Whether patrons fall in love with Messina’s because of the New Orleans style ambiance, the Creole food with an Italian flair, the live music, or simply the signature cocktail, the Italian Milk Punch, Gulf Place is proud to welcome Messina’s to their 30A beachside community.
