If you are look for more than sunning and swimming while you are at Gulf Place, the active travelers will enjoy tennis, golf, biking and stand-up paddle boarding.  One of the most authentic ways to enjoy South Walton’s natural beauty is to do like the locals do and rent a bike from YOLO Bike + Board to enjoy the view on 30A’s 19-mile paved bike path sometimes referred to as the “Timpoochee Trail”. It parallels the entire length of scenic road 30A. You may also want to try a stand-up paddle board. Standing up on a board gives you a better view of wildlife under the clear blue water of the Gulf of Mexico. Go to Walton Outdoors for your source of outdoor adventure in Walton County.

If you want to get in a few holes of golf while you are here, The Santa Rosa Golf Club is a Tom Jackson-designed 18 hole course that spans more than 85 acres and has two Gulf-view holes. It’s only a 5 minute walk from Gulf Place or .3 miles. The club is semi-private and open to the public. For more information or tee times visit
